Preparing for Harvest Festival

Preparations are well underway for our Harvest Festival.  We have already received lots of donations and look forward to receiving many more.

Reception visit the Apple Orchard

This morning our Reception children all paid a visit to the local Apple Orchards.  We wondered around the orchard and looked at the different trees.  We were then allowed to pick an apple each which we then enjoyed eating at snack time.  Mrs Penrose spoke to us about her lovely Apple Orchard.  Thank you very much Mrs Penrose we had a GREAT time!!

New Term, new pupils, a few changes.....

A big and warm welcome back to all our pupils, reception children, staff and families.  We are looking forward to the next School year at Heathlands and are embracing all the changes that are taking place at our school.  The building works are progressing with great gusto (photos to follow) with exciting changes visible daily.  Possibly the most exciting change over the summer holidays has been the removal of the old school swimming pool.  The space left behind (currently used by our new reception children) has plans to be turned into a fantastic outside learning area.  A canopy and storage area are already in place.
